Credits are the currency of MineRealm.

Credits were first introduced in 3.0, but they were originally called Realm Credits. In the previous generations, diamonds, gold, and iron were used for payment.

=Receiving credits=
Credits (A.K.A. Rc, Cr, and cred.) are earned by placing and breaking blocks, and you earn 0.5 credits per block. Also, placing and breaking the same block, in the same place over and over does '''NOT''' earn you credits. Check credits with the command <code>/credits</code>.

=Giving credits=
To give credits, type <code>/credits give "Name" "Amount"</code>
Remember not to include the "'s!
There is also a 10% tax that is taken off the payment.

This section may not fully apply to the MineRealm 4.0 survival server due to it being written before the existence of MineRealm survival 3.0.

These rules have been established by MineRealm administrators but not confirmed by the head admin, [[Intelli]]. 
As posted by [[Panthers17nfl]] on the MineRealm Forums on April 22, 2011, the unofficial rules are as follows.

=== Player Vs. Player (Survival) ===
==== Proximity of Spawn ====
Spawn camping is the act of remaining within the proximity of /spawn and blocking / standing guard by an area directly outside of spawn and killing anyone that comes near. This is against server rules, and will result in a ban with sufficient evidence.

==== Stalking ====
The repeated killing and following of a player can be considered harassment only in a few scenarios. If a moderator or admin tells the player to stop killing that player, then afterwards it is considered harassment and bannable. If the stalking persists for over an hour, it is also considered over-the-top stalking and bannable.
==== Indirect PvP ====
It is quite possible to cause the death of a player without actually attacking them. Pushing players so that they end up in harms way at spawn (into a lava pit, manhole to bedrock, hungry spider, etc), it is a rule infraction. Should the event occur within spawn, it is a rule infraction, as PvP is not enabled in spawn, and Indirect PvP is still PvP. Items must be returned to the slain player. Obviously, proof is required for any action to occur.

Stealing of goods in chests is always a rule infraction. The old way of saying it was "Stealing is illegal only if you get caught", but that is the way it is with everything then, isn't it? Anyways, stealing from chests is always against the rules unless you are in The Nether.

==== Dropped Items ====
Should a player meet his death and another player loots his items, this is not a rule infraction. Should a player accidentally drop items and another player loots those, this is also not a rule infraction. As you can see, mistakes on the player's parts do not result in rule infractions. MineRealm will not baby you and protect your belongings for you.
==== Interruption of Trade ====
Should a player interrupt two other players trading by stealing the items, this is in fact a rule infraction. The reason the response differs here than in the previous rule is because this is classified as true stealing
==== Breaking In ====
Breaking blocks in order to reach a chest is itself classified as Griefing as well as attempted Stealing, and so very easily bannable.

Trading at spawn is not a protected action and your items are not guaranteed safe exchange. However, an intentional interruption of trade appears very poorly on that player's "record".

==== Swearing & Inappropriateness ====
Swearing in-game will usually result in warning from moderators. Continuing to swear, swearing excessively, and/or using vulgarities will very quickly result in a ban. We do not tolerate any foul language on this server, even if it isn't directed at players. The reason for this is that we appreciate a wide range of player ages and wish to respect the eyes of said players. It is a mature environment we try to create here.
==== Spamming ====
Spamming, by this definition, does not mean: Sending a ton of messages. It means: sending a ton of incoherent or stupid messages. This will get you banned in an instant.
==== Asking Questions ====
Should a player ask for help, perhaps a chat command he cannot find, or for what time of day it is, they will obviously receive a polite answer. What is obnoxious is players asking in-game for some sort of mod or plugin, continually asking for the attention of a mod or admin, etc. This can be bannable after you are told to quiet.

Griefing can be identified as: Destroying blocks that do not belong to that player, removing / adding torches that do not belong to that player, destroying crops, or placing blocks on property that isn't theirs. This is always bannable.

Hacking of any kind is always bannable. A hack can be classified as any modification that gives you an advantage over other players, such as altering movement speed or direction, the ability to ignore in-game physics, block-breaking speed, ability to spawn items, duping items, and X-Ray (transparent) texture packs.

==== Offensive Skins ====
There are many skins that can be considered an infraction of the rules. You will be warned and asked to change your skin. Failure to do so will lead to kicks and/ or a ban. Examples of skins that are rule infractions: Hitler, completely naked, anything Nazi related, etc. Offensive skins are jiudged by Moderator discretion.

=== Ban Special Conditions ===
==== Reasonable Cause ====
There are certain instances where there may be little to no proof to support a ban case, but Reasonable Cause is provided. An example would be that a player left a sign saying "I'm so pro" and next to the sign is a tunnel straight down in to a mob spawner. This will lead to a ban, as the chances of finding a dungeon by digging straight down on the first attempt is very slim. An appeal to this ban will be difficult.
==== Guilt By Assocation ====
This special condition acknowledges that should players be at the scene of an incident that resulted in a ban, they are presumed to be suspects. In an example that occured awhile ago: Spawn is spammed with furnaces. A player is not doing anything harmful at the moment, but is seen with two stacks of furnaces at spawn. This can lead to a swift ban, as the two stacks of furnaces compliment the spammed furnaces.

In another example: A player is griefing spawn by removing torches. Another player is not doing anything but is following him and filming him performing the action. This can be considered Guilt By Association, as it is likely that the follower is recording the griefing for their own pleasure. However, do not let this discourage you from filming griefing as means of obtaining proof. If the video provides the proof, it will lead to the filmed player's ban.

Players may be banned or unbanned at the discretion of an Admin, whether rules outlined in this thread have been breached or not. This is to counteract any loopholes found in the Book.

Harassment can be identified as the repeated verbal assault of another player, be it in game or on the forums. This is different from trolling in that it is personal and often malicious. Harassment, based on the severity of it, can lead to a ban. Players will be warned to stop, but don't be surprised when they receive a ban.

==== Trolling ====
Trolling can be identified as speaking in a way that attempts to lure out a response, usually of hostility or disgust. Trolling can be performed simply by calling other players dumb, placing signs that laugh at players, etc. Alternatively, trolling can imply joking in a way that attempts to lure out a response of surprise, such as when one player shouts "OMG, SANDBEAST!" Sand Beasts are not active on the server, and so this would be trolling.

Trolling is usually not bannable, as it takes a less serious tone, or one that isn't personal. Even if it is directed at one player, trolling is mostly composed of harmless statements that are simply attempting to get the player mad.

To find a public realm, just walk in a straight direction out of spawn.

====Can I have OP?====
No.
This is a legit server, not even the staff members have OP.
Server Reviewers will also not get any type of moderator powers.

====How do I earn Credits?====
You earn 0.5 credits per block placed or removed.

====How do I buy Land/Realm?====
Once you have acquired 10,000 credits, you may purchase any public plot of land for 10,000 credits with the command /realm purchase.

====Why Can't I Build?====
You can't build because you are probably situated in a private realm. Private realms are purchased by other players for 10,000 credits or more.
The owner can build there and give permission to other players. Chances are they're not going to let just anybody have permissions.
Keep walking or take the public teleporter at Spawn. The teleporter takes you to a random public spot in the world.

====Can I Build with Someone?====
That is totally up to a generous player to decide. It also helps if you are somewhat near them.
Spamming does not help.

====Is there PvP?====
There is on the [[Survival Server]] but only in The Nether and The End. You can personally enable PvP for yourself via the command /pvp.

====Are there mobs on this server?====
There are mobs on survival.
Many players have killed off all the ones near spawn. The farther you get from spawn, more likely you are to see them.

====What are Realms?====
[[Realms]] are areas of land that are owned/controlled by leaders and members of the realm. Realms are only in the [[Survival Server|survival server]].

Mods are there to assist you with troubles, not joy rides.

Yes, The Nether is accessible via nether portals in the same way as Notch's server software or most Bukkit servers. PvP is always toggled in The Nether on the [[Survival Server]]. The Nether also does not allow you to use /home or /spawn while in it. You have been warned.

====Does The End work?====
Yes. The End does work, but you are not able to leave it unless you die from some various reason. As such, you are not able to bring out End Stone.

MineRealm has three officials servers: the [[Survival Server|Survival server]], the [[Creative Server|Creative server]], and the [[Party Server|Party server]]. The [[Survival Server|Survival server]] was created with the goal of being a vanilla SMP server, with very few to no modifications to gameplay. The [[Creative Server|Creative server]] is the second MineRealm server. It was built with the goal of giving the players a very unique and easy way to create art, therefore on this server players have an unlimited amount of blocks in every type (including leaves and sponge) in each player's inventory, and health is disabled. The [[Party Server|Party server]] is a server sometimes hosted by [[Intelli]], and is usually used to host different types of games, although only one has been created as of Jun 1st, 2011, and [[Apocalypse Server|Apocalypse Server]], a server where during the day the world is on fire and at night a increased amount of mobs. The Apocalypse server has since then been disbanded due to low numbers of players.

On October 28th, 2010, 3 days before the Minecraft Halloween update, MineRealm was officially released to the public on the [http://www.minecraftforum.net/ Minecraft Forums] running Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01. MineRealm was advertised as a legit vanilla SMP server, and therefore only featured the default commands and features of the Minecraft Alpha servers.<ref name="forum_post">[http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/63495-minerealm-publicmobs247x2-servers16gb-ram-no-lag/ Minecraft forum post by Intelli]</ref> The server, which was referred to simply as the MineRealm server, was hosted on game.minerealm.com. ====How do I create a realm?====

It is not possible to "create" a realm, as all realms are already defined on the map. You can, however, purchase a realm. To see info about the realm you're presently in, type "/realm" at any time.

====How do I purchase a realm?====

Realms can be purchased by typing "/realm purchase" when standing within a realm. You can't purchase realms already owned by another player. To purchase a realm, you must pay 10,000 realm credits.

The realms surrounding spawn were sold for 50,000 realm credits each.

====How do I gain realm credits?====

Realm credits are gained by placing/removing blocks. For every block you place or remove, you will gain 0.5 credits. To view the current amount of realm credits you have, simply type "/realm credits".

====Can I sell my realm?====

Yes. Simply type "/realm sell" within the realm. Selling your realm will give you back what you paid for it, minus a 10% fee. Optionally, you can sell your realm to another player, and specify your own selling price. To do this, type "/realm sell <user> <price>".

====What do realms do?====

Realms protect all blocks you place within the realm, so other users can't remove them. Additionally, other users can't place blocks within your realm. Also, any chests that you place within your realm can't be accessed by other users. Realms also give you the ability to set a MOTD for the realm, which will be shown when a user enters the realm.

====Can I have more than one realm?====

Yes. There are no restrictions regarding the number of realms you can own.

====Can I let other players build within my realm?====
Yes - to give a user building privileges within your realm, simply type "/realm add <user>" within the realm. Optionally, if you wish to remove building privileges that you've granted for a user, type "/realm remove <user>". To view users that you've granted building privileges, type "/realm users".

====How do I set the realm MOTD?====
To set a MOTD for a realm, simply type "/realm motd <message>". This message will be displayed whenever a user enters a realm. You can set the MOTD for realms you own.

====Is there a way to group chat with users building in my realm?====
It's recommended you use the [[party system|party system]], which enables you to group chat with a set of specified users. Information regarding how to use the party system can be found in-game, by typing "/help".

====How do I create a realm?====

It is not possible to "create" a realm, as all realms are already defined on the map. You can, however, purchase a realm. To see info about the realm you're presently in, type "/realm" at any time.

====How do I purchase a realm?====

Realms can be purchased by typing "/realm purchase" when standing within a realm. You can't purchase realms already owned by another player. To purchase a realm, you must pay 10,000 realm credits.

The realms surrounding spawn were sold for 50,000 realm credits each.

====How do I gain realm credits?====

Realm credits are gained by placing/removing blocks. For every block you place or remove, you will gain 0.5 credits. To view the current amount of realm credits you have, simply type "/realm credits".

====Can I sell my realm?====

Yes. Simply type "/realm sell" within the realm. Selling your realm will give you back what you paid for it, minus a 10% fee. Optionally, you can sell your realm to another player, and specify your own selling price. To do this, type "/realm sell <user> <price>".

Realms protect all blocks you place within the realm, so other users can't remove them. Additionally, other users can't place blocks within your realm. Yes. There are no restrictions regarding the number of realms you can own.

Terra Celestis was an extremely powerful and popular realm throughout the entire 2.0 eras. Founded by their leader Cogohst and his co-leader KyleFate in early 2.0, they rapidly increased their size to an enormous (***). There ambitious designs such as the ‘Project Orion’ led them to be the envy of many smaller realms around. After months of strenuous work, Terra Celestis became a serious contender for the largest realm. However unfortunately due to a small confusion with commands, their once powerful realm was disbanded and all was lost. Yet out of nothing came New Terra Celestis, a more formidable and dominant realm then had been expected. This new era of Terra Celestis grew far beyond their old realm in only a fraction of the old time. If one thing is to be taken out of this mishap, it was that Celestians don’t quit. After multiple wars with other nations, the Celestians proved they were capable fighters with multiple members making the top 20 PVP fights in 3.0. Their ‘trivial war’ with Echo run and its leader Catsfuzz proved no match for Terra Celestis as they dealt with the matter quickly and eventually left with no loss at all, thanks to their ally Lightbulbs. Truth be told, Terra Celestis would have been nowhere near as successful without all its dedicated members. Due to Terra Celestis’s success, there would be too many names to show but great recognition should be shown to all involved.

The Development Server is a server made by Intelli time to time to test new features of the game, and any new updates to the plugins of the server. The server is usually not open to the public, but one notable example of when it was open was during the 1.8 pre-release leak. The server was consiquently shut down and restarted multiple times due to the massive amounts of experience orbs that dropped on death (At that time, experience orbs did not have a three in one programming)

On classic there are no areas with PvP enabled.

No, mods do not give out teleports.

====Does the nether work?====
Yes, the nether is accessible via nether portals in the same way as notch's server software or most CraftBukkit servers. Be warned, full PvP is always allowed in the nether on the survival server. The nether also does not allow you to use /home while in it, you must exit the nether to be able to use /home and /spawn.

Minerealm's survival server is the first of the three [http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Smp#Survival_Multiplayer_.28SMP.29 SMP] servers which Minerealm obtained.
This is a legit SMP server, which hosts a mod which allows players to create "[[Realms|realms]]", which are the cities of Minerealm. This server can hold up to 150 players at a time.
 

== Survival 1.0 ==
MineRealm 1.0 was the first Survival server, after health and mobs could be enabled on SMP. Prior to this, minerealm hosted a creative server. 
1.0 was a completely vanilla system. No realms at all. However, it was ran on a hey0's server which allowed Intelli to set Mods and Admins. The spawn point was moved several times during this era and the map changed once.

== Survival 2.0 ==
MineRealm 2.0 was the first installment of Intelli's custom server plugin. The system allowed players to create a 30x30 realm that was essentially theirs. They could add other members and leaders to the realm. Each player could only have one realm, and only be a member of one realm. Realms were also free in this version, and realms would expand dynamically as blocks were added to the realm.

== Survival 3.0 ==
MineRealm 3.0 is the system as we know it today. Players earn credits for breaking and placing blocks, and can purchase a realm for 10,000 credits. Players can lead any ammount of realms, and be a member of any realms they wish. Within a realm, non-members cannot do anything. Opening chests is even deactivated for them. Each realm is 50x50.

== History ==
Terra Celestis was an extremely powerful and popular realm throughout the entire 2.0 eras. Founded by their leader Cogohst and his co-leader KyleFate in early 2.0, they rapidly increased their size to an enormous (***). There ambitious designs such as the ‘Project Orion’ led them to be the envy of many smaller realms around. After months of strenuous work, Terra Celestis became a serious contender for the largest realm. However unfortunately due to a small confusion with commands, their once powerful realm was disbanded and all was lost. Yet out of nothing came New Terra Celestis, a more formidable and dominant realm then had been expected. This new era of Terra Celestis grew far beyond their old realm in only a fraction of the old time. If one thing is to be taken out of this mishap, it was that Celestians don’t quit. After multiple wars with other nations, the Celestians proved they were capable fighters with multiple members making the top 20 PVP fights in 3.0. Their ‘trivial war’ with Echo run and its leader Catsfuzz proved no match for Terra Celestis as they dealt with the matter quickly and eventually left with no loss at all, thanks to their ally Lightbulbs. Truth be told, Terra Celestis would have been nowhere near as successful without all its dedicated members. Due to Terra Celestis’s success, there would be too many names to show but great recognition should be shown to all involved.
